Housefull 5 Box Office Day 2 Collection: Akshay Kumar’s Film Crosses ₹50 Crore Mark
Akshay Kumar’s latest film Housefull 5 is off to a great start at the box office. In just two days, the comedy film has earned ₹54 crore across India, according to early estimates by industry tracker Sacnilk.
On its second day (Saturday, June 7), Housefull 5 collected nearly ₹30 crore, bringing its total to over ₹50 crore. The movie had a 37.97% occupancy rate in Hindi theaters on Saturday.
The film earned ₹24 crore on its opening day, making it the fourth biggest opener in Akshay Kumar’s career. His top three are Mission Mangal (₹29.16 crore), Sooryavanshi (₹26.29 crore), and Gold (₹25.25 crore).
About the Film
Housefull 5 is directed by Tarun Mansukhani and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, Warda Nadiadwala, and Firuzi Khan under Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment.
The movie stars Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sonam Bajwa, Nargis Fakhri, and Soundarya Sharma in lead roles. It also features Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, Nana Patekar, Chunky Panday, Johnny Lever, and many more.
According to IMDb, the film is a murder mystery comedy set on a luxury cruise, where several imposters fight to claim the fortune of a recently deceased billionaire. Interestingly, Housefull 5 has been released in two versions – Housefull 5A and Housefull 5B – each with a different climax.
Box Office Buzz
Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared on social media that Housefull 5 had the strongest opening among Akshay Kumar’s 2025 films so far. He wrote:

#Housefull5: ₹24.35 crore
#SkyForce: ₹15.30 crore
#KesariChapter2: ₹7.84 crore (limited release)”
He added that Housefull 5 is Akshay’s second-biggest opener in the post-pandemic era, after Sooryavanshi.
With strong early numbers and positive audience response, Housefull 5 is expected to continue performing well in the coming days.
