Housefull 5 Box Office Collection Day 3: Akshay Kumar’s Film Earns ₹142.35 Crore Worldwide
Despite mixed reviews and a confusing double-ending, Housefull 5 is doing well at the box office. The film, starring Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, and Riteish Deshmukh, has earned ₹91.83 crore in India in just three days.
The movie had a strong start on Friday, making ₹24.35 crore. It collected ₹32.38 crore on Saturday and ₹35.10 crore on Sunday. According to the film’s makers, this brings the total weekend collection in India to ₹91.83 crore (net).
Overseas, the film earned ₹22 crore in just two days. This makes Housefull 5 one of Akshay Kumar’s best-performing films in recent years. It has done better than the opening weekends of his previous movies like Housefull 4 (₹53.22 crore), Good Newwz (₹64.99 crore), Mission Mangal (₹70.02 crore), and Sooryavanshi (₹77 crore).
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared on social media that Housefull 5 had Akshay Kumar’s biggest opening weekend since the pandemic. “The film has been loved by audiences everywhere—whether in big cities, smaller towns, or single-screen theaters,” he wrote.
He added, “The strong weekend numbers show that people still love fun, mass entertainers. Now, all eyes are on Monday to see how the film continues to perform.”
Housefull 5 Beats Sky Force and Kesari 2
This is Akshay Kumar’s third release in 2025 after Sky Force and Kesari Chapter 2. So far, Housefull 5 is his most successful film this year. Kesari Chapter 2 earned ₹29.5 crore in its opening weekend, and Sky Force made ₹62.25 crore.
Housefull 5 Occupancy
On Sunday, Housefull 5 had an average theater occupancy of 39.52% across India, with 4,797 shows. Chennai had the highest occupancy at 62.5% across 42 shows. Lucknow followed with 46% occupancy in 210 shows, and Mumbai had 45.25% with 811 shows. In Delhi NCR, it was 38.5% with 1,195 shows.
Directed by Tarun Mansukhani and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, the film features a large star cast including Fardeen Khan, Shreyas Talpade, Nana Patekar, Dino Morea, Chitrangda Singh, Nargis Fakhri, Sonam Bajwa, Soundarya Sharma, Jacqueline Fernandez, Chunky Pandey, Johnny Lever, Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, and more.
